How to completely remove the Online Radio Tuner from your PC
In order to completey remove the Online Radio Tuner from your PC, you first un-install it th usual way. In other words, go to Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Control Panel -> Programs and Features (Windows Vista/ Windows 7),
find the "Online Radio Tuner" entry and select uninstall.
The uninstallation process doesn't remove your favorites, your settings and the license file. This is simply because those is handy to have if you re-install the program.
If you want to remove these 3 components also, follow the steps below. Some of the steps requires you to tell yur Windows Explorer to show all files, which it may not do. Go to Control Panel -> Folder Options, go to the View tab and select "Show Hidden files and folders".
The Online Radio Tuner doesn't store anything in the Windows Registry.
Removal of the Favorites/Recording Profiles/Schedules:
Windows XP / Windows 2003
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Application Data\Bassic Technologies\Online Radio Tuner
- Delete the Favorites.xml file to remove your Favorites.
- Delete the RecordingProfiles.xml file to remove your Recording Profiles.
- Delete the Schedules.xml file to remove your Schedules.
Windows Vista / Windows 7
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Bassic Technologies\Online Radio Tuner
- Delete the Favorites.xml file to remove your Favorites.
- Delete the RecordingProfiles.xml file to remove your Recording Profiles.
- Delete the Schedules.xml file to remove your Schedules.
Removal of the user settings:
Windows XP / Windows 2003
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Bassic_Technologies\OnlineRadioTuner.exe_StrongName_35sngzagvlze2z1z5wk20edgufcu43yc\x.x.x.x
Where x.x.x.x is the current version, for example 2.1.0.0
- Delete the user-config file.
Windows Vista / Windows 7
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Bassic_Technologies\OnlineRadioTuner.vshost.e_StrongName_35sngzagvlze2z1z5wk20edgufcu43yc\x.x.x.0
Where x.x.x.x is the current version, for example 2.1.0.0
- Delete the user-config file.
Removal of the license file:
Windows XP / Windows 2003
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Application Data\Bassic Technologies\Online Radio Tuner
- Delete the LicensedApp.lic file.
Windows Vista / Windows 7
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\Bassic Technologies\Online Radio Tuner
- Delete the LicensedApp.lic file.
Removal of every trace of the Online Radio Tuner
Windows XP/ Windows 2003
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Application Data\Bassic Technologies
- Delete the Online Radio Tuner folder.
Navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Bassic_Technologies
- Delete the OnlineRadioTuner.exe_StrongName_35sngzagvlze2z1z5wk20edgufcu43yc folder.
Windows Vista / Windows 7
Open the Windows Explorer and navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\Bassic Technologies
- Delete the Online Radio Tuner folder
Navigate to
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Bassic Technologies
- Delete the Online Radio Tuner folder.
Navigate to
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Bassic_Technologies
- Delete the OnlineRadioTuner.exe_StrongName_35sngzagvlze2z1z5wk20edgufcu43yc folder
Program Files
If, for some reason, the uninstaller haven't removed everything in the Program Files folder, you can manually delete the folder Online Radio Tuner located in:
C:\Program Files\Bassic Technologies
or, on 64bit Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bassic Technologies
